Glory! There is a certain glory in the face of a newborn infant. No wonder! Each human child bears the imago dei--the image of God! We can only imagine what glory, wonder, and awe Mary and Joseph, the Shepherds, and the Wise Men experienced as they crowded around the newborn Jesus. Did they comprehend that this "newborn" child was the Alpha and Omega? Did they understand His eternal existence--that He was indeed, God? Probably not. And neither, truth be told, do we really grasp the awesome truth of all that it means that the Son of God came in the flesh.

Wonder! Inside and outside the womb, Jesus is God. Conceived by the Holy Spirit in the womb of a virgin, His was no ordinary human birth! Scripture is filled with passages that teach that God knows us, sees us, and has purposes for our lives before we are born! Jesus began his presence on earth as a tiny embryo, hidden from human eyes. The glory of Christmas is the truth that His humble entry into our world has changed everything for us for all eternity!

Joy! The same God who created you, Who formed you intricately in the womb of your mother will carry you to the end of your days. He is come in the flesh to redeem you from death and raise you to eternal life as one of His children!

As we approach the end of 2015, I invite you to stand with PPL in upholding the life of every child in the womb as a child for whom Christ came and for whom He died. We need your strong financial support now and in the coming year so that we may continue the unique and essential work of strengthening and equipping churches to reflect the glory, the wonder, and the joy of Christmas to a weary and waiting world.

May your heart be filled with Christmas Joy!
