Marple588x882What follows is an article based on the Sunday School class that I led on 10/9/2016 at First Presbyterian Church in Ocean City, New Jersey. It was a pleasure to be able to lead so many people concerned about life to reflect on the theme of cities of refuge and innocent blood from books like Numbers and Deuteronomy to the gospel of Jesus Christ and thinking about application for today.

Deuteronomy 19:1-13

First some background on cities of refuge. Israel was to have three cities of refuge strategically located so that any manslayer can flee to them. St Teresa's connection to PPL PDF Print E-mail

mother teresa video picWhile Presbyterians recognize all who have believed in Jesus Christ as "saints" and members of "a royal priesthood" we can think of no one more deserving of designation as a saint than Mother Teresa. She lived an exemplary life of service to others in humble service to her Lord, Jesus Christ. Presbyterians Pro-Life was honored that she was willing to travel to speak at our event at the Presbyterian Church (USA) General Assembly held in St. Louis, Missouri in 1988. Her unforgettable message at that event is captured in this video excerpt. As you can see in the video, the room was packed and commissioners were influenced to act and initiate a new 3 year study on abortion.
